Dry Run Falls

Dry Run Falls is located beside Dry Run Road in Sullivan County PA. and is part of the Loyalsock State Forest.  One will find Dry Run Falls by turning off PA Route 87 onto Dry Run Road near Hillsgrove, PA and driving east about two miles  The waterfall is just a few yards beyond a small parking area.  This is one of the easiest PA waterfalls to visit.  Just step out of the car and there it is.  Only a short downhill scramble takes you to the base of the falls and the shallow stream there is easily waded.

From an uneven and irregular ledge, Dry Run Falls drops about 15 feet down onto a terraced rock slab base.  The complexity of the top ledge and the complex tiered base adds much character to a very interesting waterfall.

I have stopped at this fall many times and on May 8th 2017 my friend Bill Earnst and I stopped to photograph.
