Buttermilk Falls is located in the Lehigh Gorge State Park in Carbon County, PA.   An  easy short walk on the bike trail led me to this falls.  Looking high on the steep gorge wall one can see mini-horsetail cascades rushing toward this final falls before reaching the Lehigh River.

This mid-June 2016 visit was on a sunny afternoon.  I had to wait an hour for shade to reach onto the falls.  The varying light provides very different appearences.

NOTE:  There are several Buttermilk Falls in PA.
