Bear Run Falls is located in Colton Point State Park in Tioga County PA. This small stream forms the northern border of the State Park as it flows from the western side of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon into Pine Creek. There is no trail to follow as one travels down this stream encountering a number of falls. On June 6th 2017 I turned back after reaching the second falls. I hope to soon return and explore the third falls. I have learned from others that the terrain becomes dangerously steep at some point below the third falls, so reaching those may not be doable for me.

The first falls I encountered is a 12 foot tiered cascade. Elevated 5 feet above the streambed a large deadfall spans entirely across the plunge pool. To take the photo below, I sat just a few feet from the base of the falls, beneath the deadfall. The fallen tree interfered with most other perspectives.
