Buttermilk Falls at Bear Creek is a roadside waterfall near the village of Bear Creek in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, just a few miles east of Wilkes -Barre, PA. This waterfall tumbles down a cascade of about 35 feet. It is reported that it slows to just a trickle during non-rainy times. There are 15 - 20 waterfalls named "Buttermilk" in Pennsylvania, way too many. These photographs were taken on February 27, 2017. The weather forecast for the day was for clouds and rain showers - perfect conditions for waterfall photography. Of course I arrived to find clear blue skies and brilliant sunshine.
